Awumbe and his brother and sister, Atimbil and Azuma, arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2010. Awumbe soon developed into a happy and funny little boy who has a special ability to brighten everyone’s day with his huge smile. Awumbe attends a special school that helps him with his learning challenges. He loves to dance at church, home, and school whenever praise songs are played. "Today Is The Day The Lord Has Made" is Awumbe's favorite song.
