Erick's grandmother tried to care for him, but she ended up taking him to a short-term orphanage due to her own failing health. They asked that Erick be placed at the Rafiki Village Tanzania, and he arrived in 2010. Erick is a young man who knows how to work hard in school. His diligence will serve him well in the future. Erick is also a good tennis player; he works hard and enjoys playing the game. He says that he relies on God to help him get through each day.
