Frederick
Frederick’s mother died in 2008, and his father remains unknown. His grandfather cared for him and his younger brother Barakeal for a time. Their grandfather was in poor health and was unable to work and care for the boys. He asked the Rafiki Foundation for help. The boys then moved to the Rafiki Village Tanzania in 2009. Fred does very well in art and physical education in school. He also enjoys playing basketball, is very skilled, and often shows good sportsmanship. Fred continues to work diligently in school and to trust in Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Dativa and her half sister arrived at the Rafiki Village Rwanda in 2008.
Patience
Patience’s mother died a month after she was born. Her father was killed a year later in a farming accident.
Jamesetta
Jamesetta, her sister, Amelia, and her brother, Jimmy, arrived at the Rafiki Village in 2012.
Silas
Silas loves listening to stories, especially from the Rafiki Mothers and the short-term missionaries who visit the Village.
Pamela
Pamela is a sweet and helpful young woman with a joyful smile. At school, she enjoys frequenting the library.
Rebecca
Rebecca’s mother died and her father was killed when she was a young child.
Esther
Esther's father died in 2004, and her mother died six months later.
Pierre
Pierre and his brother first arrived at the Rafiki Village Rwanda in 2012.
Jeremiah
Before Jeremiah arrived at the Rafiki Village Tanzania in 2011, he lived at a children's home in Moshi for four years with no known family.
Kofi
Both of Kofi’s parents died in a vehicular accident a year after his birth. He now enjoys singing hymns and doing science experiments.
