My Name is
Irene
Irene
Irene and her sister were abandoned by their parents as young children. They lived on their own in a mud hut for many months. The neighbors gave them food but no other care. Irene was the primary caregiver for her two-year-old sister Ruki. The sisters arrived at the Rafiki Village Tanzania in 2011 and soon benefited from quality care, nutritious food, and a loving family environment. Irene is a polite young woman who is willing to work hard in school. She has learned that loving Christ takes self-discipline, and she continues to work hard to diligently study the Bible and pray.
