My Name is
Rachel
Rachel
Rachel’s parents died from a terminal illness. After they died, she lived with her grandmother along with three other siblings. Rachel's grandmother could not afford to send her to school and struggled to care for all the children. She asked if Rafiki could care for Rachel. Rachel arrived at the Rafiki Village Tanzania in 2011. Rachel is now an excellent student. She is a great reader, which helps her in all her other subjects. Rachel also enjoys playing basketball, and it is fun for others to watch her play. She is quick and dribbles like a professional, and she is good at making baskets despite her short stature. As she learns new things about God and reads her Bible, Rachel continues to grow strong in her faith. She enjoys worshiping God and singing hymns.
