My Name is
Segen
Segen
Segen's young mother abandoned her soon after giving birth to her, leaving Segen with her grandmother. Her grandmother was extremely poor and struggled to care for her. The church became aware of Segen's situation and referred her to Social Welfare and the Rafiki Foundation. Segen arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia in 2011 and happily adjusted to her new home. Now, Segen is gentle young woman who is passionate about God's Word. Through the daily Rafiki Bible study, Segen has grown in her knowledge of the Scriptures. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 because it teaches her to trust in the Lord and her favorite hymn is "My Jesus I Love Thee" because it helps her express her love for Jesus.
